Mark of the Sylph Release Day & Giveaway!

Posted on Updated on

Update: The winner of the Blood of the Demon or Mark of the Sylph Giveaway is… Qwill! Congrats! I’ll contact you privately to set up delivery.

Today is the official release day for Mark of the Sylph, Book 2 in my DEMONS OF INFERNUM series!

Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.

Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword. Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part?

She might be falling in love with one, too.

For those of you who don’t know, the DEMONS OF INFERNUM series features four half-demon brothers working as interdimensional bounty hunters in New York City. My favorite thing about the series is the strong relationship the brothers have, and how we follow each of their lives as the series progresses. (Want to read a review? Check out the one at Smitten with Reading.)

In celebration of today’s release, I’m giving away a Kindle copy of one of the DEMONS OF INFERNUM books: Blood of the Demon or Mark of the Sylph! Your choice! (Don’t have a Kindle? You can download a free Kindle app for your Android or PC!)

In order to be entered, answer this question in the comments:

What’s your favorite series featuring a family or close-knit group of characters?

I have to admit, I loved the Twilight series. Jake was such a cutie! And while I couldn’t get into the Sookie books (strange, I know), I love, love, love True Blood. 🙂

Congratulations on your new release and wishing you great success!

I LOVE books that have strong family relationships. One of my favorite series is Rob Thurman’s Leandros brothers books. These two brothers fight to stay together and survive everything thrown their way. That’s family!

Thanks for offering a giveaway. Can’t wait to read about your four half-demon brothers! (Also tweeted about your release!)

    Thank you for the contest.
Right now I’d say Lauren Danes Brown Siblings are my favorite. But honestly I change my mind depending on what I’m reading.

Right now, I would have to go with Larissa Ione’s Demonica series. I am just finishing it up (just found it this year) and LOVE the characters and the stories. I have read the first book of the spin-off series and loved it too so I am sure that when the rest of those books are released I will be crazy for that series too!

    Hi, Rosalie,

Congratulations and good luck with your new release. I found your site from a RT on Twitter – excited to read your books now 🙂

As for sibling stories, Yasmine Galenorn’s D’Artigo Sisters from the Otherworld series works for me, though my daughter and I are really enjoying the dynamic that’s building up with Rick Riordan’s siblings in the Kane Chronicles – much more fun than the Percy books (which were fun, too, but not as funny…)

Oh yes, I so agree. Eidolon is my absolute fave. Something about the impassioned doctor side vs. the hunky sex demon side that really does it for me.

    Hi Rosalie,
Congrats and happy release day. 🙂
Great question: my current favorite siblings/close-knit groups = Larissa Ione’s Demonica series, and J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

It would have to be Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series. The books feature a very close knit group. Some are family, some not, but could be. I also love Rob Thurman’s Leandros brothers. Great series.
