All Entangled Eve: Halloween Hop

Posted on Updated on

Update: Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the blog hop. It was so much fun having you here and hearing about your fave things for Halloween. I think we can all agree, candy ROCKS.

The winner of MARK OF THE SYLPH is Michelle Willms! I’ll contact you privately to arrange delivery of your prize.

Today I’m taking part in the All Entangled Eve Halloween Hop, where I get to talk about one of my favorite things: Halloween!

I’m so glad it’s almost that time of year again. Halloween is my favorite holiday, the one time of year where I can indulge in my daydreams about spooky creatures wandering the earth. And play dress-up!

Without fail, every Halloween I wonder: what if vampires, demons, and werewolves actually did exist? What if they were hiding among us, disguised as regular humans?

That very question is what led me to create the paranormal world in my Demons of Infernum series. My Otherworlders aren’t the monsters you feared growing up, but rather species of beings from different dimensions. They travel here to Earth via an interdimensional portal, and often remain here, living as neighbors to humans who have no idea what they are.

Some of the paranormal beings you can expect to see in my world are vampires, shifters, demons, fae, and sirens. Normally they glamour their appearances to look human, but Halloween is the one time of year where they can let it all hang out. Blue skin. Razor-sharp claws. Grotesque animal face. All these things can be passed off as cool costumes on Halloween.

This year, when you’re out trick-or-treating, take a closer look at the costumes on the people who pass you by. Because you never know…they might not be quite what they seem.

Thanks for stopping by. Read on for a giveaway:

MotS-500pxHalf-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.

Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword. Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

The Candy, hands down! I’m not a costume person though I enjoy watching others dressing up and the fun they have with it. Parties, spooky movies/books. Fall colors. Yeah, its all good.

    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

Well it’s definitely the candy snitching from the kids bags 🙂 But I love the whole spirit of Halloween with all the excited faces of the little ones in their costumes.

I love dressing my kids and myself up, the smells I know that may sound weird but pumpkins and more fall smells, and the scary movie marathons

It’s my fave holiday too! Unfortunately, we are not big on Halloween here. Ugh. My favorite thing about Halloween is dressing up! Not the sexy costumes but the scary and wacky ones! And making/improvising my own.

Even though I love all the candy and dressing up, my favorite thing about Halloween is that it is my daughter’s birthday. That’s why we call her our little pumpkin.
